Lately I have become obsessed with shooting in black and white. I take a shot and I immediately say this has to be a black and white and BAM... it transforms itself in a whole new way. The other day while on our monthly warfarin clinic run, I was trying to explain to Mom my new obsession and out of that conversation has come my new mantra, I don't need to see color to feel color!
Yep, that's it! When I look at a black and white I can feel the colors that are there; the warm colors, and the bright colors. Then there is the contrast; the play of light and dark. If you look at an Amsel Adams landscape you don't need to see what color everything is, his work is captivating and thought provoking and in black and white.
So next time you look at a black and white, take the time to feel the color and I guarantee you too will be hooked!!!
